Bodycam Video Shows Cleveland Police Officers Saving Teen's Life 

New video captures Cleveland police officers saving a teen’s life.

It happened January 9th in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood.

A 19-year old had hobbled into the 3500 block of Bader Avenue and collapsed on a front porch.

The homeowner there called 911. When officers arrived, they realized the teen barely spoke English.

Yet it does not take a translator to see that he has been shot in the stomach.

It is dark and freezing, however, an unidentified officer wastes no time going for his first aid kit while calming the teen.

The officer gets permission to make the life-or-death decision to drive him to the hospital where doctors saved his life.

Turns out, the teen had been behind the wheel of a small sedan on State Road earlier in the night.

An SUV pulled up next to him and blocked him. Someone from the backseat fired bullets.

There has been no word on a motive and no arrests.

Two people were hurt,one of them critically after an out-of-control car slammed into a tree and sent pedestrians running for cover in a horrifying crash on Staten Island that was caught on camera.

Authorities said they think the 20-year-old driver was speeding at the time of the crash on Henderson Avenue in Randall Manor that ripped the car in half on Monday afternoon.

A passenger was thrown from the car and is in critical condition; the driver was also injured but is expected to survive.

Bodycam video released Friday shows a riot earlier this month at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center that caused an estimated $200,000 in damages and boosted calls for reform to the facility.

Six teens-- one 14-year-old and the rest 15 years old -- face several felony charges in connection with the Jan. 8 incident.

Inmates used broken metal furniture to smash security glass and damaged cell doors, sprinklers, the ceiling, showers, toilets, light fixtures, a television and windows, according to a Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department report.

The sheriff's department SWAT team was called to calm the situation.

One inmate picked up a shard of glass and threatened to stab a SWAT officer, officials said.

It took the SWAT team roughly three hours to get everything under control, according to the sheriff's department report.

They used an electric saw to slice through the security glass.
